NGC ACAB August Sarasota Submissions

Collectors can have their vintage Chinese coins evaluated by the world-renowned NGC Advanced Chinese Authentication Bureau (ACAB) in August. Led by noted expert Chen Gi Mao, the NGC ACAB was established in March 2017 to provide a higher level of authentication services for vintage Chinese coins.

The NGC ACAB is accepting submissions during a weeklong event in Hong Kong, China from August 14 to 20, in conjunction with the Hong Kong Coin Show, one of numismatics’ premier gatherings, scheduled for August 18-20. This is the first NGC ACAB event in Hong Kong, China.

Collectors outside of China who would like their coins evaluated as part of this event can send them to the NGC facility in Sarasota, Florida, and they will be shipped — fully insured (based on the submitter's declared value) — to Hong Kong, China for evaluation by the NGC ACAB.

The coins will then be returned to Florida — again, fully insured — for grading by NGC and encapsulation with the prestigious NGC ACAB Red Dragon label.

All vintage Chinese coins struck prior to 1949 will be accepted for evaluation by the NGC ACAB.

The deadline to submit coins to Sarasota for this event is Friday, Aug. 4. Please mark in bold letters on the submission form: "NGC ACAB August Hong Kong Event."

NGC estimates that coins submitted to this event will be ready for pickup by Monday, September 18. However, demand is expected to be high and the turnaround time is not guaranteed.
