David W. Lange Receives Two NLG Awards

NGC's research director has received Numismatic Literary Guild Awards for his book and monthly column.

NGC Research Director and author David W. Lange received two awards from the Numismatic Literary Guild at the ANA World's Fair of Money:

Extraordinary Merit for his book Coin Collecting Albums - A Complete History and Catalog, Volume 2. This book reveals the story behind perhaps the most popular line of coin albums ever produced. Issued from 1959 to 1971, the Library of Coins albums were notable for their extensive list of titles that included all United States coin series by date, mint and varieties, with the exception of gold coins. A complete roster of albums for Canada’s decimal coinage was also offered.

Extraordinary Merit for Best Column - Large Publications. Lange's monthly article USA Coin Album, appears monthly in The Numismatist and is reprinted in the NGC eNewsletter.
