Even the slightest blemish can prevent a modern coin from attaining the desirable 69 or 70 grade. When that blemish is a haze on the surface, professional conservation can often help alleviate the problem so that the coin can look and grade at its best.

This Proof 1979 2 Franc from Switzerland was recently submitted to have the hazy residues removed prior to being graded and certified by NGC. Any modern coin dated 1970 to date can take advantage of the NCS modern special where for the low rate of $22.50 per coin, the coin will be both professionally conserved and graded by NGC. This Swiss Proof 2 Franc was able to have the residues removed spectacularly well and graded equally as well with NGC.
