Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle Among Top NGC-certified Coins in Heritage Sale

A highly desirable Double Eagle from the inaugural year of the Saint-Gaudens design is leading the way among 400 NGC®-certified US coins in an auction later this summer. Online bidding is already underway for Heritage Auctions' Summer FUN US Coins Signature® Auction #1394, which will be held July 16-18, 2026.

A top NGC-certified highlight is the 1907 High Relief Double Eagle - Flat Rim graded NGC MS 66. Demand is immense for this coin from the inaugural year of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' groundbreaking redesign of the US Mint's highest-denomination coin struck for circulation. The NGC Census contains more than 600 examples, though only 33 are graded higher than this one.
