More than 550 rare coins that are certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®) are being offered in an upcoming SINCONA Auction sale, which is focused on Swiss coins and other world rarities. Online bidding for Auction 97: World and Swiss Coins and Medals is already underway, with the sale ending on May 27, 2025.
The top NGC-certified highlight of the auction is a Great Britain 1839 Una and the Lion 5 Sovereign graded NGC Proof Details (lot 1577), with a starting price of CHF75,000 (about $91,000). This coveted coin's design is universally praised as the most attractive in English numismatic history. The rarity features a bust of Queen Victoria on the obverse, which was designed by Chief Engraver of the Royal Mint William Wyon.
