NGC Offers Early Releases and First30 Designations for Coins in US Mint Tubes Offered by SD Bullion

Posted on 2/10/2025

The coins can be submitted in the sealed tubes at a later date and still qualify for NGC's special designations and labels.

Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®) is collaborating with SD Bullion on its MintCertified™ program to ensure that select tubes of coins from the US Mint preserve their eligibility for NGC's Early Releases or First30 designations. These tubes represent a variety of coins, including Silver Eagles, Gold Eagles and Gold Buffaloes.

The tubes, which are available through SD Bullion's website, include a label that says "NGC Early Releases Eligible," which documents that they were acquired from the US Mint within 30 days of their release. This makes them eligible for either NGC's Early Releases or First30 designations as well as the corresponding NGC special certification labels, which help capture the excitement of a new coin release. These coins will be eligible for the designations so long as the seal on the tube is not broken.

SD Bullion's MintCertified™ program offers an unparalleled assurance that collectors are acquiring the finest, most pristine coins available, exactly as they left the Mint. Each MintCertified™ Tube is securely sealed in tamper-proof packaging, providing an absolute guarantee that the coins inside remain untouched and in Mint-fresh condition.

Through its exclusive partnership with NGC, SD Bullion has implemented a rigorous process to secure coins from mints worldwide. NGC has reviewed and certified this process, confirming that MintCertified™ coins are received, handled and stored in a manner that guarantees their condition remains unaltered.
