Chicago, Ill. — After a one-year release hiatus, China ANA Show Pandas return to the World’s Fair of Money® (WFoM) in 2024, available exclusively from GovMint. “Show Pandas,” as they are affectionately known, are commemorative issues with one-year-only designs that feature landmarks or elements of the WFoM’s host city. They sell out quickly when first released at ANA’s annual show.
For 2024, official Show Pandas from Shanghai, China, will be released in three different specifications: 1-ounce gold, 50-gram silver and 1-ounce silver proofs. The reverse design features a famous landmark: the iconic Chicago Theater! The obverse design mimics China Mint’s 1991 Silver Panda coin design, in reference to the first year that the World’s Fair of Money was held in Chicago following the launch of China’s Panda series. This year marks the first time incuse strikes have ever been used on both sides of any ANA Show Panda Proof.
This year’s ANA Show Pandas have very limited “lucky 8” mintages of just 888 1-ounce silver, 588 50-gram silver, and 88 1-ounce gold Proofs.
Raw Proofs will be available at the show, and collectors can have them graded by NGC on-site.Premium pieces are also available, certified flawless by NGC as graded pieces. The assortment includes NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo pieces with First Releases designations and very special NGC PF 70 pieces with show-exclusive “First Day ANA” designations.
These 2024 ANA Show Pandas are available at WFoM from GovMint’s booth (#113-115) at special show prices, while limited supplies last. They will also be available after the 2024 show from GovMint. For availability after the show, visit www.govmint.com/showpanda or call 1-888-201-7096.
