Heritage Long Beach Signature Sale Preview

Heritage's Long Beach auctions are opening up for bidding soon! These triannual events, held as the official auctioneer of the Long Beach Coin and Collectibles Expo, are always popular with the numismatic public, and this September's events include separate auctions covering US Coins, World Coins, and Currency.
The US Coin auction features a fabulous 1879 Flowing Hair Stella graded Proof-67 by NGC; only one piece has been certified in a finer numerical grade. Other highlights include a 1931 double eagle, NGC graded MS66; a 1921 double eagle, NGC-graded MS61, and a 1891 double eagle, NGC-graded Proof 67 Ultra Cameo. This auction is scheduled for September 10-13 on site in Long Beach and over the Internet at www.HA.com/Live.
The World Coin auction, also scheduled for September 10-13, features a very nice selection of Chinese coins, including a Pei Yang Tael graded NGCMS63. The South American Section is highlighted by an exceptional Brazilian 1731-R gold Dobra (12,800 Reis), NGC AU53, and an interesting "Greenland" dollar graded AU58 NGC.
Currency selections include a wholly original $5000 1934 Federal Reserve Note, certified by PMG as Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ; a rare and lovely $100 1880 Legal Tender, Fr. 172, PMG certified as Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ; and a fascinating and rare Series 1875 $100 from the National Bank of Commerce in New York City, net-graded Choice Fine 15 by PMG. This auction is scheduled to take place September 9-13.
