CGB Numismatics Paris, an Official Submission Center in Europe serving submitters to Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®), Numismatic Conservation Services™ (NCS®), and Paper Money Guaranty® (PMG®), is celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2023.
Founded in 1988, CGB is an international numismatics firm that operates a large online store and conducts important auctions throughout the year, including eight prestigious live auctions and weekly online auctions. CGB also publishes its own newsletter focusing on the hobby, Le Bulletin Numismatique, as well as books and price guides on a variety of numismatic subjects.
Its website, cgb.fr, is available in seven languages and offers constant updates of new coins and banknotes for sale.
“This month, we were delighted to celebrate 35 years of CGB with collectors and our entire team. A promotional weekend was organized on our anniversary date to reward collectors' attachment and loyalty to CGB. More recently, we have also taken the time to close the company and bring together the entire team and our closest associates and advisors to share an important and much-needed moment of conviviality over a pleasant lunch,” said CGB Numismatics CEO Joël Cornu.
Steven R. Eichenbaum, CEO of NGC, NCS and PMG, congratulated CGB on its anniversary.
“For three and a half decades, CGB has consistently delivered outstanding services and demonstrated remarkable innovation and adaptability in a dynamic business landscape. The ability to evolve and thrive in an ever-changing market is truly commendable. Behind this milestone lies a team of exceptional individuals who have contributed their skills, passion and expertise to the company's success,” he said.
Submissions to NGC, NCS and PMG may be made without appointment at CGB’s office and at the many numismatic shows in which it takes part. Customers also can mail their lots to CGB (FAO Maureen CHLOUS - Maureen@cgb.fr ), 36 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France. The only requirement is for submitters to provide a valid ID document.
