Polish Rarity Expected to Realize at Least $200,000 in Numisbalt Sale

An extremely rare Polish coin is among hundreds of European and world coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®) that are being offered in an upcoming Numisbalt sale. Bidding is already underway for the E-Live Premium Auction, which will be held May 14, 2023.
The centerpiece of the auction is a Poland 1614 Danzig 10 Ducats graded NGC MS 60 (lot 2347), with a starting price of €200,000 (about $220,000). The obverse shows the King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania, Sigismund III Vasa, who reigned from 1587 to 1632. Sigismund oversaw Poland's largest territorial expansion, as he led crusades against neighboring countries. The reverse shows a pair of lions surrounding an intricate crest. This astounding historical coin, a masterpiece of the Gdansk Mint, is encapsulated in an NGC Oversize Holder.
