NGC Featured Registry Set: Silver Eagles – Full Set

This month, we feature a set composed of arguably the most popular modern US coin, the Silver Eagle.

The Silver Eagle category in the NGC Registry holds an astounding 17,000+ sets and is still growing. The Silver Eagles, 1986-Date, Mint State, Specimen, & Proof (Including Varieties & Special Pedigrees) Set has over 2,000 participating sets, and HDB’s set is currently at the top of the pack. With over 200 slots to fill in this set, attaining 100% completion is definitely a challenge for all participants. The US Mint’s latest release, the 2023 Congratulations Set, is the latest slot addition to this set; HDB and only one other collector presently sit at 100%.

Winner of a 2022 NGC Registry Award for Best Modern Set, HDB began assembling this set back in 2020 and has painstakingly sought out quality coins for every date and mintmark. The majority of his coins are Top Pop, including a 1994 NGC MS 70 with an NGC Pop of only 454.
