Goldberg Auction Spotlights NGC-certified Rebel Roman Coin Estimated at Half a Million

Goldberg Auctioneers is offering an exciting opportunity for collectors to acquire an extremely rare ancient coin that has been certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®). Online bidding is underway for Goldberg’s The New York Sale, which will be held January 10-12, 2023.

One of the highlights of the auction is a Roman Imperatorial Q. Labienus, 40-39 BC Gold Aureus graded NGC Ancients Ch AU★, 5/5 Strike, 2/5 Surface (Auction 57, Lot 145). The over 2,000-year-old gold coin features Quintus Labienus Parthicus on the obverse. The Roman general allied with the Parthians in 40 BC to try to seize lands in the east before his death a year later. This coin has an estimate of $500,000.
