Aste Bolaffi Offers Rare Italian Coins Certified by NGC

Over 150 coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®), including one of the greatest rarities in Italian numismatics, are being offered in a sale presented by Aste Bolaffi. Bidding is already underway for Aste Bolaffi Auction 42, being held December 1-2, 2022.
The top lot in this auction is an Italy 1928R VI Gold “Oro Prova” 20 Lire graded NGC MS 61 (lot 1225). Showing King Victor Emmanuel III in uniform, only 15 of these gold coins are believed to have been struck to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the end of World War I. This coin has a starting price of 200,000 EUR (about $200,000).
Other NGC-certified highlights in this auction include:
- an Italy 1880R 100 Lire graded NGC AU Details (lot 1133) with a starting price of 40,000 EUR (about $40,000)
- a Poland 1659 HL 3 Ducats graded NGC AU Details (lot 1541) with a starting price of 15,000 EUR (about $15,000)
- an Italy 1903R 100 Lire graded NGC MS 61 (lot 1163) with a starting price of 12,000 EUR (about $12,000)
- an Italy 1903R 100 Lire graded NGC MS 61 (lot 1164) with a starting price of 10,000 EUR (about $10,000)
- a Montenegro 1910 Golden Jubilee 100 Perpera graded NGC PF 61 Ultra Cameo (lot 1529) with a starting price of 10,000 EUR (about $10,000)
- an Italy 1925R Silver Jubilee 100 Lire graded NGC PF 63 Matte (lot 1213) with a starting price of 8,000 EUR (about $8,000)
