Auktionshaus Felzmann Offers Stunning Russian Rarity Certified by NGC

A rare coin from Russia's Imperial era is expected to sell for at least $150,000 in the November sale.

A stunning rarity designed by famed medalist Jacques-Antoine Dassier is among the coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) being offered in an upcoming German auction. Online bidding is already underway for Auktionshaus Felzmann's Auction 176, which will be held November 15-19, 2022.

The top NGC-certified coin in the sale is a Russia 1757CNB 10 Roubles graded NGC AU 55 (lot 730). The obverse features a bust of Empress Elizabeth, who ruled the Russian Empire from 1742 to 1761. The reverse depicts a cross made of four shields. These dies were conceptualized by Dassier, who is known for medals featuring influential leaders across Europe. This rarity is expected to sell for at least €150,000 (about $150,000).
