Submit the 2022-P American Liberty Silver Medals at the ANA World’s Fair of Money Show

The US Mint is releasing the 2022-P American Liberty Silver Medal on August 18th. The medal has a limited mintage of only 75,000 and is a companion piece to the 2021-W American Liberty High Relief Gold Proof Coin that was released last year.

NGC will offer the First Day of Issue, First Day - ANA, and Chicago ANA Releases designations for qualifying medals submitted to NGC at the ANA World's Fair of Money. Special submission instructions must be followed. For regular submissions of these medals, click here.

The obverse of the 2022-P American Liberty Silver Medal depicts a bucking bronco casting off the saddle of British rule with the sun rising in a new era of American independence. The design was conceptualized and executed by Beth Zaiken, an artist in the Artistic Infusion Program (AIP), and sculpted by medallic artist Craig Campbell. Zaiken signs certification labels exclusively for NGC, and medals encapsulated with the NGC Beth Zaiken Signature Label will be available through select retailers.

The coin’s reverse features a close-up profile of a bald eagle, designed by Richard Masters and sculpted by Phebe Hemphill.

To complement coins submitted at the show, NGC, the official grading service of the American Numismatic Association (ANA) since 1995, will offer an exclusive ANA certification label for qualifying coins. The label features the ANA logo and its Lamp of Knowledge member logo.

The NGC ANA label is available for coins that are purchased at the ANA show and submitted with the original Mint purchase receipt. The label is free by request when one of these designations is selected:

First Day - ANA designation:
Available for medals purchased on the first day of sales at the ANA show and submitted to NGC at the ANA show on that same day. The submissions must be accompanied by the original Mint purchase receipt.

First Day of Issue designation:
Available for medals purchased on the first day of sales and submitted to NGC at the ANA show on that same day.

Chicago ANA Releases designation:
Available for medals purchased at the ANA show and submitted to NGC at the ANA show. The submissions must be accompanied by the original Mint purchase receipt.

The First Day of Issue, First Day - ANA and Chicago ANA Releases designations will be listed separately in the NGC Census.

Submission Instructions

• Submit medals under the Modern grading tier or higher.
• Medals must be submitted on their own submission form. Each designation should be submitted on its own form.
• Medals do not need to be submitted in the US Mint packaging.
• Note: All submissions will be sent to NGC's headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, for grading unless an on-site grading tier is selected. For details about submitting for on-site grading services, visit the NGC team at booth 1400.
