Please update your virus definitions

Posted on 5/29/2008

Over Memorial Day weekend, there was a broad attack on many web sites around the internet by a hacker group spreading a virus called Trojan.Asprox. The attack exploited a bug in Internet Explorer (IE) and Active X. The CCG sites were one of the targets of this attack and had a small number of pages affected.

Although the attack was caught promptly and stopped, if you visited any infected web sites using a version of IE that was not fully patched, your computer may have downloaded the virus. We recommend that all users update their virus definitions and run their virus scan as a precautionary measure.

More information about this virus and its removal can be found on the Symantec web site here: Symantec: Trojan.Asprox
