Seldom-seen Italian Coin Certified by NGC Among Aste Bolaffi Highlights

Dozens of Italian and other world coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) are available in Aste Bolaffi Auction 41. Online bidding is already underway for the sale, being held May 25-26, 2022.
Among the top lots is an Italy 1937R Gold Prova 100 Lire graded NGC MS 62 (lot 1023). The obverse displays a bust of King Victor Emmanuel III, while the reverse shows a lictor walking in a field and holding a bundle on his right shoulder. Rarely seen at auction, this coin has a starting bid of €100,000 (about $104,000).
Other NGC-certified highlights in the auction include:
- an Italy 1902R Gold 20 Lire graded NGC MS 62 (lot 882), with a starting price of €30,000 (about $31,000)
- an Italy 1937R 100 Lire graded NGC MS 63 (lot 1024), with a starting price of €25,000 (about $26,000)
- a Romania 1940 100 Lei graded NGC MS 61 (lot 1298), with a starting price of €18,000 (about $18,700)
- an Italy 1861T B 5 Lire graded NGC MS 63 (lot 816), with a starting price of €12,000 (about $12,500)
- an Italy 1883R 100 Lire graded NGC MS 63 PL (lot 842), with a starting price of €12,000 (about $12,500)
- an Italy 1818 Naples & Sicily 30 Ducati graded NGC MS 62 (lot 700), with a starting price of €10,000 (about $10,400)
- an Italy 1903R 100 Lire graded NGC MS 61 (lot 893), with a starting price of €10,000 (about $10,400)
- an Italy 1918 Italian Red Cross Gold 50 Lire graded NGC MS 64 (lot 1030), with a starting price of €8,000 (about $8,300)
