Nomisma Offers Rare Italian Coins Certified by NGC in Auction

More than 150 world coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) are available in an upcoming auction in San Marino. Online bidding is already underway in Nomisma’s Auction 65, which concludes June 18, 2022.
The top lot is an Italy 1860B 20 Lire graded NGC MS 61 (Part 3, lot 1451), with a starting price of €120,000 (about $127,000). The coin displays a portrait of Victor Emmanuel II, the king of Sardinia who in 1861 became the first king of a united Italy and ruled until his death in 1878.
Other NGC-certified highlights in the sale include:
- an Italy 1902R Gold 20 Lire graded NGC MS 61 (Part 3, lot 1528), with a starting price of €35,000 (about $37,000)
- an Italy 1652 Genoa 2 Doppie graded NGC MS 62+ (Part 2, lot 727), with a starting price of €30,000 (about $31,700)
- an Italy (1197-1250) Sicily Half Augustale graded NGC MS 63 (Part 2, lot 767), with a starting price of €30,000 (about $31,700)
- an Italy 1745 Sardinia 4 Zecchini graded NGC MS 61 (Part 3, lot 1370), with a starting price of €25,000 (about $26,400)
- a Switzerland 1925B Gold 100 Francs graded NGC MS 63+ (Part 1, lot 406), with a starting price of €18,000 (about $19,000)
- an Italy 1830Anchor P Sardinia 80 Lire graded NGC MS 64 (Part 3, lot 1395), with a starting price of €15,000 (about $15,900)
- an Italy 1861F Lira graded NGC MS 62 (Part 3, lot 1486), with a starting price of €15,000 (about $15,900)
- an Italy (1815) Venice Zecchino graded NGC MS 62 (Part 2, lot 1106), with a starting price of €12,000 (about $12,700)
- an Italy 1774 Sardinia 2.5 Doppie graded NGC AU 58 (Part 3, lot 1385), with a starting price of €12,000 (about $12,700)
- an Italy 1891R 100 Lire graded NGC MS 60 (Part 3, lot 1496), with a starting price of €12,000 (about $12,700)
