Greek Auction Offers More Than 400 NGC-certified World Coins

More than 400 world coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) are featured in an upcoming Greek auction. Online bidding is already underway for A. Karamitsos’ Auction 694 Part A and Part B, which conclude June 11-12, 2022.
The top lot is a Crete 1901 2 Drachmas graded NGC MS 63 (Part A, lot 6364), with a starting price of €28,000 (about $29,600). The island of Crete was an independent state from 1898 to 1908, when it came under Greek rule.
Other NGC-certified highlights in the sale include:
- a Greece 1851 ¼ Drachma graded NGC AU Details (Part A, lot 6090), with a starting price of €5,500 (about $5,800)
- a Great Britain 1902 5 Sovereign graded NGC PF 61 Matte (Part B, lot 6860), with a starting price of €4,000 (about $4,200)
- a Greece 1828 Plain Edge Lepton graded NGC MS 64 BN (Part A, lot 6003), with a starting price of €2,500 (about $2,600)
- an Australia 1902P Sovereign graded NGC AU 55 (Part B, lot 7073), with a starting price of €2,500 (about $2,600)
- a Greece 1833 5 Drachmas graded NGC MS 63+ (Part A, lot 6060), with a starting price of €2,300 (about $2,400)
- a Greece 1833A 5 Drachmas graded NGC MS 62+ (Part A, lot 6061), with a starting price of €2,000 (about $2,100)
- a Greece 1847 Lepton graded NGC MS 65 BN (Part A, lot 6083), with a starting price of €2,000 (about $2,100)
- a Greece 1848 2 Lepta graded NGC MS 62 BN (Part A, lot 6084), with a starting price of €2,000 (about $2,100)
- a Greece 1849 2 Lepta graded NGC MS 65 BN (Part A, lot 6086), with a starting price of €2,000 (about $2,100)
