SINCONA Offers NGC-certified Rare Coins from Koehlmoos Collection

The May event features more than 750 NGC-graded coins, primarily vintage ones from continental Europe.

An impressive array of rare European coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) and pedigreed to the Annemarie and Gerd Koehlmoos Collection are being offered in an upcoming SINCONA auction. Online bidding is currently underway for Auction 76, Session 1 and Session 2, which conclude May 17, 2022.

More than 750 NGC-graded coins from the Koehlmoos Collection are included the sale. The top lot is an Austria 1676 IAN 10 Ducat graded NGC MS 62 (Session 2, lot 1425), with a starting price of CHF 75,000 (about $78,000). The obverse features a portrait of Leopold I, who was Holy Roman Emperor from 1658 to 1705.

Other NGC-certified highlights in the Koehlmoos Collection sale include:

  • a Great Britain 1746 LIMA 5 Guineas graded NGC MS 63 (Session 1, lot 1173), with a starting price of CHF 40,000 (about $42,000)
  • an Italy 1901R 5 Lire graded NGC UNC Details (Session 1, lot 1195), with a starting price of CHF 40,000 (about $42,000)
  • an Austria 1612 Vienna 10 Ducat graded NGC AU Details (Session 2, lot 1391), with a starting price of CHF 40,000 (about $42,000)
  • an Austria 1754 Vienna 10 Ducat graded NGC AU 55 (Session 2, lot 1459), with a starting price of CHF 40,000 (about $42,000)
  • an Austria 1655 Vienna 10 Ducat graded NGC MS 61 (Session 2, lot 1417), with a starting price of CHF 35,000 (about $36,000)
  • a Sweden 1594 1 Daler graded NGC AU 58 (Session 2, lot 1594), with a starting price of CHF 35,000 (about $36,000)
  • a Spanish Netherlands 1694 Flanders 8 Souverain D'or graded NGC AU 58 (Session 1, lot 1018), with a starting price of CHF 30,000 (about $31,000)
  • an England 1553 Sovereign graded NGC AU 55 (Session 1, lot 1154), with a starting price of CHF 30,000 (about $31,000)
  • an Italy 1814 Sardinia Doppia graded NGC MS 64★ (Session 1, lot 1253), with a starting price of CHF 30,000 (about $31,000)
  • a Norway 1672 FG Speciedaler graded NGC MS 62 (Session 2, lot 1325), with a starting price of CHF 30,000 (about $31,000)
