Rare NGC-certified Coins from Asia in Monetarium Auction

A wide selection of rare Asian coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) is available in an upcoming Monetarium auction. Online bidding is currently underway for Auction 30, in with sessions concluding on April 15, 16,17, 22, 23 and 24, 2022.
A top offering is a China 1914 Dollar graded NGC MS 63 (Session 4, lot 4082). With an estimate of SGD30,000 to SGD40,000 (about $22,000 to $29,300), the coin displays a portrait of Yuan Shi-Kai, the first president of the Chinese Republic from 1912 to 1916.
Another top lot is a China (1890-1908) Kwangtung Silver Dollar graded NGC MS 62 (Session 4, lot 4058), with an estimate of SGD18,000 to SGD22,000 (about $13,200 to $16,100). Kwangtung, also known as Guangdong, today is the most-populous province in China, just north of Hong Kong.

- a French Indochina (1943-44) Tael graded NGC MS 60 (Session 4, lot 4138), with an estimate of SGD10,000 to SGD13,000 (about $7,300 to $9,500)
- a Malaya 1945I 10 Cents graded NGC AU 50 (Session 6, lot 6032), with an estimate of SGD10,000 to SGD13,000 (about $7,300 to $9,500)
- a Malaysia 1976 Gold 500 Ringgit graded NGC MS 64 (Session 5, lot 5160), with an estimate of SGD5,000 to SGD6,500 (about $3,700 to $4,800)
- a Straits Settlement 1893 50 Cents graded NGC XF 40 (Session 6, lot 6021), with an estimate of SGD4,200 to SGD5,500 (about $3,100 to $4,000)
- a Straits Settlement 1889 20 Cents graded NGC MS 64+ (Session 6, lot 6024), with an estimate of SGD3,000 to SGD3,800 (about $2,200 to $2,800)
- a Straits Settlement 1898 ¼ Cent graded NGC MS 64 RB (Session 6, lot 6031), with an estimate of SGD3,000 to SGD3,800 (about $2,200 to $2,800)
- a Malaya 1961 50 Cents graded NGC AU Details (Session 6, lot 6034), with an estimate of SGD2,000 to SGD2,200 (about $1,500 to $1,600)
- a Straits Settlement 1907 Straits Dollar graded NGC MS 62 (Session 6 lot 6005), with an estimate of SGD700 to SGD900 (about $500 to $700)
