NGC-certified Vintage Coins Featured in Heritage Auction’s April Hong Kong Sale

Vintage world coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) are being offered in an upcoming Heritage Auctions sale. Online bidding is currently underway for the 2022 Hong Kong Spring World Coins Showcase Auction, which concludes April 3, 2022.

One of the top lots among the more than 130 NGC-certified coins in the sale is a French Indo-China (1943-44) Tael - Small Deer Head graded NGC XF 45 (lot 98146). With its simplistic design and rarity, this coin is a top target for counterfeiters, so collectors are well-advised to buy certified examples like this one.

Another top lot is a Hong Kong 1905 Five Cents graded NGC MS 66 (lot 98271). The coin displays a portrait of British King Edward VII, who succeeded his mother Queen Victoria in 1901. This coin’s grade is near the top of the 119 examples in the NGC Census.
