NGC Labels

NGC labels may be combined with releases designations and pedigrees to further distinguish particular coins and collections. NOTE: Any quantity or number listed on the label is for numbering purposes only and DOES NOT indicate any actual limitation on the coin mintage or the quantity of the label, grade or designation.

Except for Signature Labels, which are guaranteed to have an authentic autograph from the person indicated on the label, NGC special labels are for enhancement purposes only and are not guaranteed. Whether a specific NGC special label adds value to a graded coin is determined solely by the market.

Labels available for the NGC Oversize Holder will be marked as such below the label name.

David J. Ryder

David J. Ryder served as a two-time US Mint Director from 1992 to 1993 and again from 2018 to 2021. During his first term, Ryder was involved in several coin programs, including the issuance of silver dollars commemorating the 200th anniversary of when construction started on the White House.

In his second term, he oversaw the popular 2019 Apollo 11 Commemorative Coin Program and was instrumental in the new designs for the iconic Silver and Gold Eagles. He was also actively involved in implementing the 1921 Silver Dollar Anniversary Act, which authorized the mintage of 2021 Morgan and Peace Dollars for their centennial anniversary.
