Description & Analysis

Gem BU survivors of the 1904-S are considerably rarer than those of its similarly dated P-mint counterpart. Still, the '04-S (5.1 million pieces produced) is the most readily obtainable Type Three Double Eagle produced in the San Francisco Mint.. Population: 40 in 65, there is just one finer (10/02).
