Description & Analysis

The 1912-S Indian half eagle is one of the hardest coins to fins in uncirculated grades. Not only were the coins poorly produced to begin with, but most of the 392,000 coins mintage was released directly into circulation and not saved. This means that this date is excessively rare in gem. In fact, NGC has only graded a single piece above MS64.
