Description & Analysis

The 1909-S Indian half eagle had a relatively low mintage of 297,200 coins. In addition to this, many went directly into circulation. This means that the 1909-S Indian half eagle is one of the hardest of the entire series to find in high grade. NGC has only graded a single example in each MS65 and MS66.
