Description & Analysis

The 1894-O quarter dollar is moderately scarce in the higher circulated grades, and the supply of Mint State pieces is small relative to the number coined. Gems (MS 65 and higher) are rare.

Both the far right and centered mintmark positions are known for this issue, and collectors have taken little note of their relative rarity. One of the far right dies has a repunched mintmark, but this is hard to see on worn specimens. An extremely minor repunched date variety is noted solely for completeness.
