Description & Analysis

The Philadelphia struck 934,000 Barber half dollars in 1892. Due to the fact that this was the first year of issue for the series, many coins were saved. However, it was still over a century ago, so high grade coins are still scarce, albeit less so than later issues. This coin is available in gem as well as MS66, but becomes much rarer any higher than that.
