My final attempt at shooting this. Posted it across the street. It was in a NGC 64 holder, pretty dang close to what it looks like in-hand. Nothing can compare to viewing a coin held in your hand, JMO. The obverse has a more PL appearance than the reverse.

Nice Ike Yonico! Is that a silver Ike? (I'm guessing yes)

Thanks. Yes it's silver.

Hey all,

I'm new here and thought I would start by seeing if anyone has ever seen anything like this 1951 D penny. I found it in my pocket change where I have found a lot of interesting coin latley but none quite as interesting as this. Comments please.

Looks like graffiti on a penny to me.

I know it's hard to tell from the pic but its it graffiti if the letters are raised. Looks to me like the letters were in the die. I should submit a better pic later this afternoon. Thanks

Toolmaker, at first I thought the graffiti was incuse, but upon looking

at it again, the letters do seem to be raised.

Very interesting. Hard to tell by images alone.

Welcome to,the NGC forums.
