Bought off eBay 4 years ago...

 

"A uniface trial striking of a proposed Ecu for Germany with neat bird design, struck in copper. Brilliant as struck, one of 10 pieces issued."

I just saw one of these on someone's post on the PCGS forums. I didn't pay attention to it at the time. frustrated.gif Really cool. Were they supposed to leave the mint legally?

I bought it from criscoins on eBay in Feb 2001.

 

 

The only thing I turned up on my internet search was about a tri-metal version being sold on eBay. A post by Rod Sell (Australia).
