Will NGC grade clad coins? 1 1

I was wondering if the NGC grades clad coins?

Such as the black Ruthenium clad coins by Merrick Mint?

I don't think they grade non U.S. Mint colored or plated U.S. coins.

My understanding is that NGC won't grade coins that were "altered" by another mint or third party, like the one in your link. But, let's say the U.S. Mint did produce or had produced on their behalf a coin such as that, in that instance it would be eligible for grading.

Clad coins, yes (although they didn't in their early years).  Altered coins, No.
