Slab prongs turning yellow

3 posts in this topic

Hello,

I have a slab in which the prongs are turning yellow. It might be hard to tell from a photo, so I have attached examples taken with and without a flash.

What is causing this and what can be done to correct it?

Thank you for your assistance.

David

Hello,

Thank you.  This was graded some time ago.  This probably happened due to storage.  You could send it for a re-holder.  The cost would be $12 plus return shipping, insurance, and handling.  In order to directly submit yourself, you would need to be a paid member of NGC.

Thank you,

Lisa

Hello Lisa,

Ok, I have obtained a membership and downloaded the submission forms.

I'm probably going to wait until the Christmas holiday is over before mailing it. I can overnight it to you via FedEx or UPS.

I live in south Florida not far from you. Would it be possible to pick up the coins in person after the process is complete?

Thank you,

David
