Silver Bullet 88
Hello, coin community! I am a newbie ,when it comes to numismatics. It is a hobie I picked up about a few months back. Well I've always kind of had an interest in coins going back to my childhood, there's just something that's really alluring about a beautifully had crafted sparkling coin. But I had a question that I'm sure I will get the right answer from all of you pro's on here! I have a 2012 U.S. Mint set that I actually got a great deal on. I paid a little over face value for. Was wondering since they only minted 392,224 sets should I hod on to them as an investment? Or just take my profits now?
Coinbuf
Mint sets have not historically held their value over time so I would sell it now myself. But its really a coin flip on if it will rise in value or fall.
Rummy13
2012 mint sets and 2012 proof sets are about the only sets in the last 40 years that are worth much more then when they came out. mint sets are getting a little over $60 now. It is up to you what you do. I have to say keeping it and adding to your collection is what I like.
