Have PVC damage

4 posts in this topic

There is a world of difference between having PVC on a coin and having PVC damage on a coin, which is irreversible. If you have a coin that has been damaged by PVC. it will normally not straight grade.

As WoodenJefferson said, you can have PVC residue on a coin and that can be removed and the coin may be OK, but once the surfaces are damaged by the residue (PVC DAMAGE) then that damage is permanent  Unless you wear the coin down enough that those surfaces are worn away.  Drop it maybe three or four grades, a MS down to a F or so.
