I got a penny that might intrigue you I believe it is copper coated silver Canadian dime that is now a ms 1939 lincoln cent what do you think it has been struck at least 4 or 5 different times by canada and last by philly

What is it about this cent that makes you think that it was once a silver dime that is now (apparently) thicker and larger in diameter?

The early Canadian dimes had edge lettering as this does I had pictures but It won't let me post em. And if u look at the edge it has had a copper layer added it literally looks like a oreo cookie, to my knowledge 1939 pennies are 99% copper. U can see the copper coat came off along head andkneckline and edge allowing me to see 1800's dates along obvers and reverse
