What is the process when a coin is ReHoldered?

What is the process when a coin is ReHoldered? I'm assuming the check to see if the holder has been tampered with? Do they look at the coin at all? Weigh it? I know they are not regrading it, but will a counterfeit holder or coin be caught in the ReHolder process?

Thank you for your question. Coins sent in for reholdering must first be inspected by our experts before we remove them from the holders. If a coin/holder is deemed to be genuine we would remove it and perform the reholder service.
