I don't really know what to make of this "coin"

I recently read mention of someone joking about waiting for the various world mints to come out with a scratch and sniff coin.

 

Introducing the chocolate coin - sort of..,..

When I first joined NGC, among the promotional items we gave away at the booth were chocolate slabs in gold-colored foil. The "coin" in the slab was a 1953 Franklin Half. I made the mistake of actually eating one of them once, and it was pretty crusty. It turned out that they'd been made several years before and indeed, we ran out of them shortly afterward.

 

I've never seen one since, and I didn't save an example, but I imagine that would be popular with sample slab collectors... :eyeroll:
