Q: In the cities of the US where notes are printed and distributed for the Federal Reserve, how many are state capitals? And what are they?

Boston (capital of Mass.), New York, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Richmond (capital of Virginia), Atlanta (capital of Georgia) ,Chicago, St.Louis, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas, San Fransisco.

So 3 are capitals

Federal Reserve notes are printed by the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing in two cities; Washington D.C. and Fort Worth Texas (neither of which are state capitals) and are distributed through the twelve Federal Reserve District Banks and twenty-four Federal Reserve Branch Banks.

 

Three of the twelve Federal Reserve District Banks and four of the twenty-four Federal Reserve Branch Banks are located in state capitals.

The seven Federal Reserve District Banks or Federal Reserve Branch Banks that are located in state capitals are as follows:

 

Federal Reserve District Bank of Boston (1st District), Boston, Massachusetts

Federal Reserve District Bank of Richmond (5th District). Richmond, Virginia

Federal Reserve District Bank of Atlanta (6th District), Atlanta, Georgia

Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Nashville Branch, Nashville, Tennessee

Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Little Rock Branch, Little Rock, Arkansas
