I recently purchased this 1902 Indian cent from a very old time dealer, it has nice color to it and a nice almost rainbow tone to the back, most notable is the spot under the “E” in cent. I know the pictures are not very good and that it’s extremely difficult to guess an accurate grade from a picture but please try and take a stab at it.

Thanks in advance,

Don.

The coin does not look like it has original red color to me. There is a certain amount of cloudiness that makes me think that it has been dipped in a cleaning solution and then was less than perfectly rinsed. Usually you don't see a film like this on an original red copper coin.

It looks to be a high grade, numerically, but I agree with the others. I don't like the skin/film on this coin. Maybe it's just the pics but from what I see that is what I think. I feel that it was certainly dipped.
