QUESTION:

 

Overprinting, note examination and packaging were 3 separate tasks performed in the BEP years ago. What helped make these processes quicker and more efficient?

ANSWER:

 

The COPE-PAK (Currency Overprinting, Processing Equipment and Packaging) machines were introduced in 1985 to allow these jobs to be done in 1 area instead of 3 separate areas of the BEP.
