Grading after conservation

2 posts in this topic

I sent in three coins for conservation and grading. Two of the coins are now at NGC being graded. How can i find out what happened to the third coin. This was a 1788 Connecticut colonial. Does it take longer for this type of coin to be evaluated and conserved or will NCS holder it and let me know.

Thank you

Carolyn

Only those coins that will grade with NGC will show up on your NGC invoice tracking. If a coin sent for conservation does not show up with the others on your NGC invoice tracking that means that it did not grade with NGC. Most often this is due to irreversible surface conditions that will prevent certification with NGC such as improper cleaning or environmental damage. If you had requested grading, then the remaining coin will be graded by NCS.
