  1. I filled out the online form and was charged $22. I think @Tyrock mentioned the $16 in error. I never gave $16 a thought while filling out the submission. I was aware the price had been raised.
  2. Yes, they’ve been opening and closing membership since they first launched in 2007. I waited three years before I was able to join, then membership was shut down again. It’s been like that since.
  3. I found the email, dated May 9. According to the email a special Grandfathered tier was suppose to be included on the online pdf form, which it wasn’t. Hopefully it won’t be needed.
  4. That clears it up, thank you. I didn’t remember reading anything about the $16 fee, since now it has been raised to $22. And the “grandfathered in” confused me since there are either members or non members, unless they are separating current members from members admitted after this policy. I understand the concept now but with one question. How many years will these 20 failures per year be extended?
  5. Do you have a source for this? What does it mean to ne “grandfathered in”? Is that the same thing as being a member before this new policy change?
  6. Granted the coin on the left is a 67, but as @VKurtB pointed out the furry bits on the under carriage are quite sparse in comparison. I think enough detail is missing to put this coin in the 63-64 category. I also think luster plays more importance to the graders than what you believe.
  7. A couple of Battle Creek’s I acquired from Skyman a few years ago and an 1883-O bought raw in the 80’s.
  8. Frank was a bright light in the forum. This is a tough loss, especially tough since he was only 53. It won’t be the same without seeing new threads being started by him. Special condolences to Bobby, Stefanie and all of Frank’s other close friends made from these boards.
  9. I never saw the Beatles, but saw The Rolling Stones in 1965 and 1966. The opening band in 1965 was the Byrds. In 1966 the McCoys (Hang on Sloopy) and the Standells (a Boston Red Sox standard “Dirty Water”) were the openers.
