  1. I cant see the counter on GC. I dont own a computer so I dont know if its because I use my phone or what. But the last 5 minutes I practice counting down and flip back and forth to see what their counter says. See how close I am. Then put in a bid at the very end. If its a coin I really want. I usually have an earlier bid. I do that if someone out bids me and its still in my budget. I usually wait till the very end to put in my max amount I will pay. I learned a long time ago that you have to do that if you want the coin cause there are several others bidding aginst you doing it too. Just hope mines higher. Ive won some good ones but lost others I really wanted. I dont let it bother me to bad though because the coins I usually buy can always be found again. And sometimes at lower prices and a nicer coin than before. Ive had a couple Im glad I lost because I found alot nicer ones to take the place of those.
  2. I havent got to get on here very much lately. Life got very busy for me the past few weeks. Ive tried to take time to read a few post here and there. Ive been wheelin and a dealin trying make ends meet and get this boy some college books. None of you all have scared me off yet. Im very easy going and thick skinned. Here soon im gonna try to get on here more just as soon as I get caught up. Ive missed talking to you all the past few weeks.
  3. Im doing fine. We didnt get the real bad part of it in our area. It did knock me out of work for a few days. Our jobs were down in that area. We got 1 day in this week. Kinda hard on the wallet but it could have been alot worse. Alot of people lost everything. Lost loved ones and all their property. Im thankful we didnt get it that bad up here. Im heartbroken for the ones who were affected by it. Hope everyone gets their lives back together and makes it through this tragedy. Thank you for thinking about us.
  4. I been trying to cut my hair all summer but my wife wont let me. She said I have a womans dream hair and she loves it. Its coming off very shortly though. Cant stand hair in my eyes trying to work. However she hates my beard but I want to keep it. She said its like a wire brush. Said it scratches her.
  5. Thank you all for the replies. I called earlier and they said I have till the 22nd of August to come up with the tuition money. Wish they would have sent a letter earlier that said his student loans wouldnt cover the whole thing instead of waiting till the last minute. I may be able to come up with something by then. I really really dont want to let my coins go but may have to. Figured Id think on it another day or two. But I do have to come up with some money to order his books by this weekend. So they come in before he starts in a very few days. His books are gonna be $400. He has $220 of it saved up already. I got a little bit of scrap iron I can try and haul off if I get raind out tomorrow. Also I hate to be late on paying bills but I have one I can probably let slide for a few days. It looks like its hard to sell coins in a hurry without taking a big loss. If I have to sell them by tuition time ill try post them on EBAY a little earlier. Hopefully we will get out of all this non scale work soon. Seems like I get 3 crappy checks for every good check I get. Been a struggle this month. I really do thank all of you all for the replies and advice. It is much apriceated.
  6. MS66. Shes a beauty. I guessed MS 66 because the few little dings on the right of the reverse and the rim at the top of the obverse.
  7. I blame these get rich quick videos on alot of it. But also gotta put a little blame on the ones believing them too. The guy was very disrespectful. He thought we all worked for NGC and was trying to get him out of some money or something. Kinda funny when he was gonna get us all fired. Even though we didnt work for them.
  8. I know these 4 coins wont bring $600 but they will get me closer and I can probably cover the rest out of my pay check.
  9. I just found out my sons student loans arent going to cover his tuition and price of his books for college this year completely. I need to make $600 in 2 weeks time. I would have had it if I wouldnt have been rained out today and its looking like tomorrow also. Maybe the rest of the week. Ive never sold any coins before. I picked out a few that wouldnt break my heart to lose as bad. And ones that would most likely sell quicker. Ive looked at prices on EBAY and they differ so much I dont know what to ask for them. So my questions are: To sell quickly do I ask a lower price than all the ones Ive seen? I hate to take a loss but Im in a desperate situation. Also where should I try and sell them? Should I post on the market place on this forum? I was thinking about EBAY but how quick does it take to get your money from them? Also paying the sellers fee will it be worth trying there? Ive been brainstorming all morning trying to figure out how to go about it. Would love to hear from experienced sellers on how to make a quick sale without taking a complete loss. Thank you my friends for any input. Here are a few of the ones Im going to try and sell. Are these coins that will sell fast? I dont know what is hot in the market right now. The Pride of two Nations set are in a very nice case I bought to keep them in. Should I keep them together or break them apart if someone just wants one of them? I really hate to break the two up. The COA fit nicely in the case also.
  10. The corrosion makes it look like there are parts of the design that isnt there. Pareodila.
  11. Its possible to scratch one or clean it and it still be considered uncirculated. It will say UNC details on the slab if you try to have the coin certified. To show circulation it would have to get handled quite a bit. Or slide around in a drawer or surface where it caused enough friction to show it on the devices.
  12. Heres a bullion coin from a major TPG. All the bullion coins are considered uncirculated until the devices show wear on them. They had to strike some at phillyand san frisc during the covid scare. The reason we all call them uncirculated is because its very unlikely these get circulation wear. Youd have to really neglect them.
  13. You will see other Details coins also. Such as detais hairlines, or details graffiti, details scratched, etc. If you see one with details on the slab it means it is a problem coin that didnt straight grade.
  14. Just damage. Pareidolia. Just looks like a another number. Looks like it could even be zinc rot.
  15. I find washers in quarter rolls quite often around here. Or they will sneak a nickel or something in the middle of the roll.
  16. Keep your eyes open for West Point quarters. They are highly collectable and also still being found in pocket change. They are fun sets to put together. You will only find them in 2019 and 2020 quarters only. But both years consist of 5 coins each. I put together 3 graded sets and finally completed a couple sets ungraded found by family members, friends, and myself. Ive got several people looking for them for me.
  17. Bullion coins are uncirculated coins. My mistake. I was seeing a W that wasnt there. Got up to early. Look over me EagleRJO. I was looking at the picture on your post instead of the op's.
  18. Ive been putting together a set of quarters in mint state from 32 to 64 and its been quite a challenge. If I wanted to get by cheap and a bit easier from rolls id go with 65 thru 98. Or state quarters. They are fun also. Ive been working on a couple Whitmans with them. Also halfs could be fun also. Get rolls from banks. Thats gonna be my next Whitman project.
