Whether it comes back PL or not, it sounds like it would be a good looking coin. I would love to see pics.

It is quite attractive, I'm interested to see if NCS can remove some haze in the fields as well. I'll see if I can get a decent picture or two.

If the holder is one more than 20 years old (lacking the PNG image on the hologram) then it probably pre-dates the expanded PL recognition.

I was able to check and it has the half hologram with only the NGC and ANA logos. I'll get it shipped out for regrade.

    Thanks!

  3. I recently purchased a nice 1921 Peace Dollar and noticed there is a small piece of... something, like a little glob... on the coin. Cert verification pictures(here), on the obverse near the hair curl above the eye. I don't want an unsightly spot to form around it in case it is some sort of oil/organic material.  I will try to post a picture showing this when I get home.

Is this something that NGC will take care of or will I have to pay the reholder fee to get it fixed?

    Thanks

  4. Resurrecting and bringing us back to PL Buffs. I've got a 36 that I think might warrant a PL designation. Currently resides in a PC66 holder. I'll try to make a decent animated gif or something to better show the reflectivity than still pictures.

I should add, I had a heck of a time getting decent photos of this coin.

  5. I wanted to say hello as my first post here, some of you may know me from another forum. I've been collecting on and off for about 20 years, but only started getting more serious about it in the last 5 or so. My primary collecting interest is 20th century US, particularly Peace Dollars, but also Buffalo Nickels, Lincoln Cents, and anything else that I find myself having a "need" for.

I look forward to contributing to the discussions here!
