About Me

sig.jpg

I’m a long time collector with many breaks throughout my life. If I could only go back to some of the great coins I’ve owned over the years...but alas, no regrets(mostly) for much of my collection was liquidated for noble reasons over the years!  I still can miss some though...my certified PF63 Red 1868 2 cent, my complete proof set collection 1938-1999(when I sold), along with tons of others. I held onto all my original coins that I accumulated as a kid, and I still look at those with pride. Over the last few years, for numerous and unexpected reasons(getting into buying and selling bullion for one), I became fascinated with many foreign bullion which led to certified bullion, like koalas, which led to many other beautiful foreign commemorative coins, which ultimately is leading me back to certified US coins. One area I went out of my way out of my love of history is my custom set of Roman Emperors. This originally was going to be just the West, but I find myself continuing it through the Byzantine era. I hope to bring this collection to as close to complete as possible but assume with an ancient Roman set, it will never be “complete”!  I’m still finding my way back and collect now what appeals to me aesthetically, but must confess to also working toward completing top registry world sets, even if some coins in the set aren’t all that appealing. I find myself drawn toward completing a panda set now, even though it will never be a top contender. I guess I’m still finding my way even after 40 years!
