I think I found it .... Peru: Felipe II cob 4 Reales Diego de la Torre

A friend asked me to take a look at a coin she found that I haven't seen before. Can anyone identify this or point me in the right direction? (sorry if they pics are not in the correct position)

I have yet to get any better pics or see the Morgan in hand but the date is one of my concerns. A pic of the coin against a known graded coin:

Yup .... I told her if I had it in hand I could find out if it's real or a philly with an s applied or maybe a 98 with the eight changed to a three.

I did ... that's why I thought it wasn't legit.

The weight checks out at 26.7 and it is the right diameter ... my thought was a philly with an s applied

Hey all, I have a friend who sent me these pics (yes I told her not to handle coins like this). At any rate my initial thought was counterfeit. Right off I didn't like the date or mint mark position. I am waiting for better photos so this is all I got from her .... opinions welcome And no she did not purchase the coin it was left to her.

I was going through some proof sets I have and wasn't positive on this cent I have in a capital holder .Probably wishful thinking here for a possible ddo but still would like to run this by for any input.

Ageed, post it on Ebay raw and make 5 times your investment .... even better profit on the silver proofs from what I've seen.

The corrosion on this 1814 crosslet 4 large cent is pretty evident but I do like the details of LIBERTY and the ear/hair visibility. That said is the corrosion so far gone that this coin loses it value as a potential vg-8 or better? Thanks for looking!
