  1. 1. Yes, the gold coin is gradable. What year is it? If it has been bouncing around for awhile unprotected, it may not be worth grading in terms of added value, but may be for proving authenticity. 2. Post photos of the 1915 silver dollars and the folks here can give you advice on whether to submit for grading. 3. Do not ever clean coins. Ever.
  2. Very nice. The mark over "IN" is on the capsule I presume?
  3. Welcome to the forums. Not to be rude, but if you aren't sure how the encapsulation/grading process works, you might want to hold off submitting that many coins at once as your first submittal.
  4. Not sure where you saw that, as I went back 2 months on ebay sold items, and there was nothing remotely close to that price. And in fact, the last one that sold in the same slab as above sold for $410. The one before that $390.
  5. So a modern submittal is showing 54 working days right now. Yet most of the retailers are advertising the new 2021 Morgans and Peace dollars will have graded items ready to ship by the end of November, and they just recently shipped. I guess they go right to the front of the line?
  6. It starts from the day it is delivered to NGC, not when they open it. Please remember they are working days, not calendar days.
  7. I would almost guarantee the coins ATS will sit in "grading" status for a long, long time. At least NGC is completely upfront about their lead times, in which the clock starts ticking as soon as it's received. Plenty of thread ATS where people have been waiting 2 or 3 months.
  8. Did anything about your credit card change from the time you ordered it until now?
  9. I dabbled in it for awhile. Was big on the Cardano train. I decided enough was enough about the third time I lost 25% of my portfolio just because of some stupid Elon Musk tweet. And that is not an exaggeration. It's literally that volatile. Controlled by the ultra wealthy (Musk, Mark Cuban is a huge Ethereum holder) and the whales who bought in early enough to have amassed obscene amounts of BTC. That, and the fact that the market NEVER closes was too much stress for me. It was nothing to go to bed up several thousand dollars, and then wake up in the red less that 6 hours later. For no reason other than a tweet.
  10. The only way I see getting your money back on grading is the silver eagle. Label collectors will want it once it hits the NGC registry.
  11. I would hazard a guess that even the most experienced numismatist needed help the first time through the NGC submission form. Not exactly the most user friendly form out there the first time through.
  12. Not to mention both pictures show basically the worst way to handle a coin.
  13. Probably because it does not have a grade assigned to it.
  14. I actually just read a story about it. They would use the dies they use for the platinum eagle. They would just change the date. Link to Story
  15. They are always that size. They are the designer's initials.
  16. I will never understand this. Let me ask for opinions, but not give all the needed information. SMH.
