How can you pass up a good deal?
Hello everyone,
As some of you know, I am trying to sell my collection and move on to other things. I have a few graded coins which are not entered into the Registry, but are of great numismatic and monetary value.
I spoke with the person at Heritage Auctions today, and asked if they'd either be interested in buying, or taking on consignment, one of these coins. They said that the lack of interest in New Zealand coins would not be worth buying, nor offering it at auction. Well, imagine that! I remember a year ago, I could buy a complete threepence set for the cost one coin, today. A decent Waitangi Crown in MS is over $10,000. Hmmmmmmm?
I do not see any justice, nor logic in their reasoning.
When you have the highest ever graded, is it worthless because no one wants it? I am almost glad to dissolve and downsize. Like everything, I hope they realize when they could have gotten it cheap.
Here's hoping you collect nothing but the best!
