and a couple coins.
Hi everyone,
I just received, within a few days of each other, the 2013 Girl Scouts commemorative dollars. These are very nice coins with well designed images. The Mint did a nice job with the $1 logo on the reverse instead of actually spelling it out. That was a nice touch.
But the reason I like these coins so much is that the reverse gets me thinking of those wonderful Girl Scout cookies! I usually buy about a dozen of them and toss em into the freezer to enjoy throu
I picked up 5 in the last few weeks.
Since I have started collecting the MS SAE a couple months back, I have been lucky enough to pick up about 5 coins a month. Most of them are MS69 with a couple of MS70s to add a bit of flavor. I wish I started collecting these back when I started with the proofs. Both types of coins are incredible and I tip my hat to the Mint for starting such a wonderful series!
Here is the latest Eagle I received today.
Enjoy your collection and good luck with the gra
Slabs are horrible!
Hi,
I just received my West Point Eagle Set from MCM and I have to say that the encapsulation of these two coins is absolutely horrible and sub-standard from what I have come to expect from NGC.
From the photo I have attached, you can see all the smudge marks that are located on the INSIDE of the holder on the clear plastic. What the photo does not show is the smudge marks on the retro black. The whole mess was quite visible as soon it was in my hand and stands out qui
Most recent addition
Here is my most recent acquisition...2015 U.S. Marshals Service Commemorative MS Dollar. The Mint did a fine job on selecting the designs for this set. Lately, it seemed like they were just recycling the same designs for new coins. This puts me 47% complete...slowly getting to the half way make for the set.
Now, if they can only do a commemorative for Firefighters!

Hi everybody,
I just want to drop a little note and let everyone know that I am selling my Mordern Commemorative 50c collection and narrowing my attention down to SAEs and Modern Commemorative Silver Dollars.
I haven't been too excited about these coins lately and money I have put aside for upgrading the 50c always seem to be used for SAEs and $1 comms.
The set is complete including the 1996 Proof Olympic Soccer that doesn't show a coin...it's a PF-69UC. Th
They want to eat our brains!!
Here is the latest commemorative that I got...the 1987 Constitution $1. When I first saw the reverse of this coin, the first thing that popped into my head was that a group of zombies are coming to eat our brains!
My picture is not the best. It's much better if you have the coin in hand. Remember...only head shots will bring em down!!
I also updated my modern commemorative registry. I put in some pictures for about 20 coins that I added over the last month. An
Hard time getting my 2007 MS70 SAE
For the last 3 days I have been trying to get an 07 SAE at MS70 for my collection. And I am always losing the auction in the last few seconds. I really don't mind the sniping...hell I have done it few times myself. But for this particular coin...I am getting hammered. I lost about a dozen auctions in the last 3 days. There seems to be a bit of demand for this beauty. So the gloves are coming off and it's time to get "down and dirty" !!
I will let you know h
I would like to add my thoughts
I am relativly new to Collectors Society...Feb 2008...and I never have thought of the Registry as some kind of competitive game. I just thought it a really cool place to showcase my collection to as many people as possible ( The internet is wonderful).
It is really enjoyable checking out other peoples' coins and reading the little tidbits of information about each one.
Even though I have been collecting coins...Modern Proof Comms, Proof ASE, and Annual Silve
Awesome return on a modern commemorative!!
A couple weeks back I submitted some modern commemoratives to NGC and was overjoyed when the 1995 Civil War clad 50c received a PF-70UC grade! I just got them back the other day and can't keep this coin out of my hands. I find myself looking at it a couple times a day since they came home.
I looked up the census report for this coin and shows a about 1100 have been graded by NGC and only 56 have made the 70 grade! This is the 2nd out of 6 50c commem
It's yours...have fun with it.
Don't let anybody tell you different. Wether you use 69 or 70, it's your choice. Enjoy.
I guess my Proof and MS SAE won't be a complete set when they are finished because most of them are 69s instead of 70s
I have not heard of such stupid sh** in quite some time! Paul Kiraly owes you an apology...IMO.
First Coins Entered!
I just started my 2 registries today....Modern Commemorative Proofs and Silver Eagle Proofs. I have quite alot of coins for both but still working on getting the ones that I am missing... the early eagles and the comms from the eighties. Its a slow process because of the price of getting them and then getting everything I already have graded. I can only do a few at a time.
The coins I listed today were the 2006 Ben Franklin coins...both PF-70, 2001 Buffalo...PF-69, and
2 very nice coins join my growing collection
Hi everybody,
I would like to share my latest additions to my Modern Commemorative collection...the Proof and MS strikes of the Star Spangled Banner. The Mint did a much better job with this coin then the Infantry design that came out earlier this year.
The MS version has the new NGC FIRST RELEASE label. Now I dont know what that really means or what the difference is from the EARLY RELEASE tag. But to quote NGC...Use this special NGC designatio
and I am very happy with the grades.
This last submission is by and far the fastest turnaround I have ever witnessed from NGC. I sent out 10 Boy Scouts comms on Wednesday, July 14th and the USPS showed delivery to NGC on Friday the 16th. NGC listed the coins as "received" on Monday the 19th. I then received NGC's e-mail stating that my coins are in the mail back to me on Thursday the 22nd!! From the time I put the coins in the mail to NGC returning them back was only 9 days! It is probably goi

Hello and good day to everybody,
I wanted to share a few coins that I purchased over the last few days...1991 Mt Rushmore 50c and 1995 Olympics/Baseball 50c commemoratives grade MS-69. The 50c comms are very inexpensive at this grade and very easy to find. It leaves me with only 8 more coins to go to finish this set.
I was also very happy to hear the the Mint will be issuing the 2010 Proof SAEs in a few weeks. I forgot that I still had a su

Hello fellow collectors,
I would to show my latest addition to my Modern Commemorative Set:
1987 Constitution MS70
1989 Congress MS69
1984 Olympics MS69
1984 Olympics PF69UC
They are quite the nice group of coins and they have helped push my total close to the 50% completion mark for the set.
The curious thing about the Constitution is how the denomination is showed on the reverse....Dollar 1...strange!
I also took the photo of the Constitution w
A VERY LUCKY PURCHASE!
Since my 2006 20th Anniversay ASE set could not get the special designation...except the reverse proof...I have kept an eye out for the other two coins to complete the set.
A couple weeks ago I got one coin, NGC graded MS-69, for $80. A couple days ago I saw an auction on Ebay for the last coin I needed to finish the collection. It was NGC graded PF-70. The bid was at $90 when I put my bid in with a max of $130. The value according to NumisMedia is $250. I really didn'
Additions to my collection.
Boy, did I go crazy on the Silver Eagles in September. I did quite alot of OT at work and was able to pick up 9 coins, 8 of those were SAEs and 1 commemorative.
I got an ungraded Proof 1995 50c Olympic coin. It has the baseball design and looks great. I am very happy with this coin. When I pick up a few more proofs, I will send them off to NGC and hopefully I will be able to get a 70 for 1 or 2 of them.
The 8 SAEs are:
1990 MS-69
1994 MS-69
1998 MS-69

My new custom set!
Hi everybody,
I wanted to share my new custom set I put together. It is the Baseball Hall of Fame coins featuring both the team logo label and the 2014 World Series Champions label for the San Francisco Giants.
Both labels are very hard to find on the open market since NGC didn't accept direct submissions for the labels back in 2014. Then, this summer NGC announced that they will except submissions for the team logos, so I sent in the coins I have to get re-labeled with

Problem fixed with the Ben Franklin "Scientist"
I just wanted to let everyone know that I found a error in the registry with the score for the B.F. "Scientist". The PF70 CA and PF70 UC points were reversed. I sent an e-mail out to NGC and they fixed the error today. It might give a some of you a few extra points in your registry.
Happy Collecting and Good Luck with grading!

...in a business envelope!!
Hi everybody,
Just wanted to rant a bit on how I received a coin I purchased the other day. It was shipped in a business size envelope with a tape used to make the envelope a bit more secure. Really... are people this dumb?
The slabbed coin just slid right out of the envelope when the mail carrier handed it to me after I signed for it. Thank you PO for having honest employees. I could of been handed an empty envelope instead. At least the slab was bubble wrappe
