About this journal

All bullion coins are minted at West Point, NY.  The S mint mark is a scam to make people think they are getting something special, at double, or triple the going price of a real Silver Eagle. In effect, the "S" coin is a phony, and doesn't have a place in the Registry. "Minted at" coins fall into the same category. The label can say anything they want.....even the Sheboygan Mint!

NGC removed the other coins, this one has to go also.

I too laid out hundreds of dollars only to have them erased, such  as the "2000 Millennium" ASE. Another gem that we "had" to have.  They won't pay   those coins we now have to eat.

Outa sight--Outa mind

A missing journal? Hi everyone! I had a journal posted, but I guess it got censored. It is gone!!! In short. My scanner died. My 1957 and 2009 proofs are further along. No word on my Abes I started another "W"eird quarter set. I had to shovel snow and......Oh yeah. I bought a new scanner. Your eyes will thank me for it! Happy collecting!

NGC VS. PCGS ROUND 2,3,4 ???

How long must this go on? Hello all .....again! Fact.....NGC Registry allows PCGS slabbed coins. Fact.....PCGS does not allow NGC slabbed coins. I thought the hobby was considered to be, and hence named, "coin collecting". I've vented on this issue before. I also explained why I have both. I have collected my sets for 2 reasons. I like the coins, and it's an investment. I'm in awe to see a Lincoln cent graded by either entity worth many thousands of dollars. I admire the coin(and t

HINDENBURG CRASHES IN NEW YORK!

Oh the amenities! Hello everyone! It is with mixed emotions that I bring you this news. My Hindenburg has crashed. Yup..... Not one (1) member thought it was a good idea to get it graded. That really let the hot air out of my balloon. yuk yuk Another learning experience. I do have to thank everyone that contributed to it's demise, but I can use the funds to do something more worthwhile. Another Sacagawea perhaps? NGC quality control must be swamped. THE VERDICT IS IN!

The jury has made it's decision. First, I'd like to thank the members who were nice enough to serve as jurors in my trial over the toning Eagle chicks. After all the evidence was presented and documented, I have decided to pass down sentence upon these wonderful slabbed coins. They are destined to serve the rest of their time in my collection. They will, however, lose their place in the Registry. I have acquired another pair to replace them, but only to maintain the pristine look of the

YESSS!!!

2008 was a great year for me. I have only been a paying member for a little over 2 months. I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have been asked why I do so many Sacagawea sets? Why don't you do some other types of sets? Now I can answer both questions definitively. I never knew about the competition amongst members in the Registry. I do, however, love to compete. I also like to win.....sometimes. I tried to accomplish my goal of having one of the best sets available anywhere. I h

OWNER COMMENTS

Every time I receive a new addition, I fill out all of the form, including owner comments on the registered coin. Reviewing my #1 set is has slipped to #2. How? I check, and the owner comments have been deleted. For 20 minutes I have tried to edit it and replace the missing comment. I fill in the box, hit save, and absolutely nothing. Anyone have a clue? Maybe it's got a virus?

10 SILVER EAGLES AND COUNTING?

In 1986, I started an American Silver Eagle set for my son to inherit someday. I started with the MS set and my first coin was purchased from TV sales. After a few years, I was able to start a proof set, and the collection expanded. I have been fortunate enough to maintain these sets through the years, but not without losing coins due to slot eliminations in the Registry. Everyone had to have the 2000 "Millennium" slab. Now it's history. A few others also. Now sets are being created for reverse
